Alex Majoli is selected as the photographer of ARTISTS IN FLUX - a special project by NOMAD powered by GUCCI. In the form of a NOMADIC journey in collaboration with GUCCI and involving artists and designers from around the world, this multifaceted curatorial project takes place in different cities during 2023 to investigate the dynamics of and the reasons for an increasing global mobility.

The project sets out to investigate the dynamics of and the reasons for, an increasing global mobility, generated as a possibility and as fictive destinations. Within their works the creatives involved deal with questions of cultural translation, circumstances, and mental architectures ; they work with different situations, and with communities, they reflect on the media and on actual or ancestral mechanisms.

The first chapter of 'Artists in Flux' encompassed the work of three internationally acclaimed artists - Lola Montes Schnabel, Yves Scherer, and Tsherin Sherpa - who were invited to exhibit their work at the 11th edition of NOMAD at Grace La Margna St Moritz.

The second chapter encompassed the work of American visual artist Rebeccas Ness, Designers duo Objects of Common Interest, and collective CFGNY, who were invited to exhibit their work at the 12th edition of NOMAD at Caccia Dominioni private home in Milan.

The third chapter of Artists in Flux, a showcase between art and design promoted by Gucci, is staged at NOMAD Capri. In the spotlight are the works of three young international authors: American designer Misha Kahn, Rwandan artist Cedric Mizero and Egyptian architect Tarek Shamma.
