Immersed in the collections of the 7L library, Rafal Milach delved into the "standards of beauty" implicitly conveyed within them. Selecting around a hundred works centered on the themes of the body, beauty, and representation, Milach sought to question this "ideal" and its normalized depictions, particularly through the lens of masculinity, art, and fashion.
Combining visual codes and references drawn from art, media, and science, Milach's symbolic constructions subvert acts of censorship through manual interventions and radical reassemblies of sometimes iconic works. A deeper reversal of our conception of imagery takes place in the Zine, aiming to break free from the traditional canons of representation.
