For the Spring/Summer 2023 Issue of Re-Edition Magazine, Magnum photographer Alec Soth was commissioned for an advertorial for luxury brand LOEWE featuring BAFTA winner and renowned costume designer Sandy Powell.
Inspired by Sandy's relationships with the later film-director Derek Jarman, Alec captured her wandering in Dungeness, on the south-east coast of England, home of Derek’s famous Prospect Cottage and set of his early movies.
The resulting cinematographical images mix LOEWE sculptural and surrealistic approach to fashion with the rawness and suggestive landscapes of Dungeness.
